Korean Music Wave 2011 @ Stadium Negara (24/9/11)

After a successful run in Singapore with Korean Pop Night Concert 2010, Korean Music Wave 2011 in Singapore , Proof Label is coming into Malaysia with the first major Korean music event, Korean Music Wave 2011 in Malaysia , jointly organized by Galaxy Group. Korean Music Wave 2011 in Malaysia will take place at Stadium Merdeka on 24 September 2011, 7pm.
KOREAN MUSIC WAVE 2011 in Malaysia is set to be the defining Korean music event of the year which will be headlined by YG Entertainment’s G-Dragon, T.O.P and Seungri. Other popular Korean artistes that will be featured in the concert include Park Jung Min, F.T. ISLAND , U-KISS, 4minute and Teen Top. This will be the first time for members of BIGBANG as well as F.T. Island and Teen Top to be performing in Malaysia .
The seven explosive acts will be rocking the stadium ground for two and a half hours with more than 25 songs being performed. Hits like 'High High', 'Knock Out', 'What Can I Do', 'Love Love Love', ‘Hello Hello’, ‘0330’, 'Mirror', 'Muzik', 'Supa Luv' and many more! The performance time for each band will be pre-determined by the respective artiste agencies.
Enjoy seeing Kevin and Dongho from U-KISS for most part of the concert with them on the stage as special guest MCs.

The 5-member girl group from Cube Entertainment debuted in 2009 with their first single ‘Hot Issue’, which created a great wave in Korea . The members Nam Jihyun, Heo Gayoon, Jeon Jiyoon, Kim Hyuna and Kwon Sohyun released their first mini-album ‘For Muzik’ alongside with chart-topper single ‘Muzik’. For their comeback in May 2010, the released a new mini-album ‘HuH (Hit Your Heart)’ and captured the attention of many with similar name lead song ‘HuH’. They released their full length Korean album titled 4MINUTES LEFT with shadow title track ‘Mirror’ as well as ‘Badly’ topped charts with their catchy music and dance.
U-Kiss
U-KISS, which is an acronym for Ubiquitous Korean International (Idol) Super Star, is a seven-member boy band from NH Media. After a member addition in 2009 and some member changes in early 2011, the current members are Soohyun, Kiseop, Eli, AJ, Hoon, Kevin and Dongho. The group debuted in Japan first in August 2008 with the track, ‘Not Young’, and then moved onto Korea . The members are actively promoting as solo entertainers in different areas like dramas, movies, musicals and hosting. The group recently made a comeback in late March with the track ‘0330’.
GD & T.O.P. (from BigBang)
From YG Entertainment, comes a dynamic collaboration between BIGBANG's G-Dragon and T.O.P! The duo received overwhelming response since the promotion of their debut album ‘GD&TOP’ in December 2010. GD&TOP performed successfully with their hip-hop style and their first single, ‘High High’ became a chart-topper. Thereafter, two other singles, ‘Oh Yeah’ and ‘Knockout’, also did well on Korean music charts. The pair’s extravagant and over-the-top fashion in their music videos and performances is also often followed and imitated by fans and fashion followers alike.
Seungri (from BigBang)
The youngest member of BIGBANG, Seungri began his solo career after leader G-Dragon wrote him the song ‘Strong Baby’, found on BIGBANG’s ‘Remember’ album. His distinct change in style -- which portrayed a more manly image -- helped him shed his “youngest member” image. Seungri is also a celebrated dancer, who is often credited for the rope-jumping dance in ‘Last Farewell’. Earlier this year, Seungri finally released his solo mini album ‘VVIP’. He wrote and composed all but one track on the album and had triumphed the charts with his title track, ‘What Can I Do?’
Park Jung Min (from SS501)
The friendly soloist joined CNR Media in 2010 and sparkled off his solo career. As an ex-member of SS501, Park Jung Min has always been known to be SS501 Charisma and charmed many with his friendliness. Park Jung Min released his first solo album ‘Not Alone’ in January 2011 with the leading song ‘Not Alone’ doing well on charts. Following his first successful album, he released a repackaged album ‘The, Park Jung Min’ in April 2011, with a new song ‘Like tears are falling…). Other than being a singer, multi-talented Park Jung Min also took part in musicals and dramas. He won the “Golden Ticket Award” for Best Musical New talent. He’s now in Taiwan filming a lead role for a Taiwanese drama.
FT Island
The five-member band with FNC Music debuted in 2007 with the song ‘Love Sick’. The current members are Lee Hongki, Lee Jaejin, Choi Jonghun, Choi Minhwan and Song Seunghyun. Their musical talents have enabled them to churn out multiple chart-toppers in both Korea and Japan . The group actively promoted in Japan with hits like ‘Flower Rock’ and ‘Brand-New Days’, and even went on to perform a five-city concert tour in the country. They returned to Korea in August 2010 with the mini album ‘Beautiful Journey’ and recaptured the hearts of their fans with the song ‘Love Love Love’.
Teen Top
The six-member boy group from T.O.P. Media was founded by Andy of popular boy band Shinhwa. The members, C.A.P, Chunji, L.Joe, Niel, Ricky and Changjo debuted with the single ‘Come Into the World’ in July 2010. They made their comeback early this year with their second single, ‘Supa Luv’. In July, they have just released their first mini album ‘Roman’ with the track title “No More Perfume On You”.
